p(Photo by Richard Crawford) More than 600 brave souls took the plung during the 19th annual ALARC ice dive into Lake Minnetonka Jan. 1. Divers came from coast to coast, including five from Alabama. Canada, England, Iran, Jamaica, and many foreign exchange students from all over the world are expected to jump. Last years’ World Record could fall; 679 jumpers took the plunge in 2008. The annual dive took place at the BayView Event Center of Excelsior.
