Stevie Ray's Comedy Troupe will be on stage in the International Bazaar in the Minnesota State Fair at 3:15, 4:30, and 5:45 on Saturday, Aug. 28, and Sunday, Aug. 29.
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and Stevie Ray's Comedy Troupe will be at the 2010 Minnesota State Fair. The dinner theater exhibit is in the upper grandstand center quadrant.
Meteorologists and hydrologists from the National Weather Service Weather and Water Forecast Office and the NOHRSC in Chanhassen will host a booth at The Great Minnesota Get Together, the 2010 Minnesota State Fair.
The NWS is at the fair daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Aug. 26 through Labor Day, Sept. 6.
The NWS, along with representatives from the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), will have their booth in the education building on the east side of the fairgrounds. Their booth will feature the following:
* Computer terminals to navigate NWS web sites.
Rep. Joe Hoppe (R-Chaska) is scheduled to be at the Minnesota House of Representatives booth in the education building at the Minnesota State Fair on Monday morning from 10 to Noon.
The Monday, Aug. 23, Chanhassen City Council meeting has been canceled. Instead, councilors will meet for an extended work session, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Carver County Sheriff's Lt. Jim Olson has temporarily stepped away from his job as liaison officer at Chanhassen City Hall.

He has been temporarily replaced, effective Monday, Aug. 16, by Sgt. Pete Anderley, who held the liaison position for about 17 months from mid-2007 to 2009. The Chanhassen City Council upgraded the liaison position from a Sgt. to a Lt. in 2009.
Absent Councilor Bryan Litsey, who was giving South Lake Minnetonka Police Department budget presentations before the Shorewood and Tonka Bay City Councils, the Chanhassen City Council during their Monday evening work session discussed the city’s 2011 budget in greater detail than at any time yet this year.
“We’re sticking to the process that we’ve done for the past 10 years,” said City Manager Todd Gerhardt.
The Chanhassen Recreation Center will be CLOSED for maintenance beginning Friday, Aug. 20, and will reopen for business on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The gymnasium will close starting Monday, Aug. 16, and will also reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
The Chanhassen City Council on Monday could reject a request by Don Halla to move his electronic message sign away from its current location on Pioneer Trail and Highway 101.
Revenues in the city are on target, according to a memo from Greg Sticha, city finance director, to the Chanhassen City Council.
