Recently, a 12-year-old gave me the heads up on a method of making S'Mores in the microwave. "Oh, it's easy. Just put marshmallows and chocolate in a bowl and microwave it, then sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top. Don't put the graham crackers on before you microwave because then they get soggy.
One day I got a craving for a S'More and recalled this instructive how-to recipe. I had the marshmallows, I had the chocolate, I had the graham crackers. I stuck the works into the microwave, leaving out the graham crackers of course.
Well, here, I am, being hosted by a very gracious group of folks at the Chan Senior Center. We're talking about Blogging. I blog, but no one blogs me back. Am I not compelling enough? Is my life not a soap opera, at least not as dramatic as All My Children.
Well, blog with me. It's lonely here in my cyberspace office pad.

Hi All:
I've been laying low lately. I know from the massive emails I've received my blog is sorely missed. Thanks for all the good wishes and the positive support. Often I wonder if anyone reads these entries that magically transport themselves through the nebula of the atmosheria to your computers at home and at work.

I first met Cheri Mueller of Chanhassen and Sally Miller of Chicago about a year and a half ago when they wrote their first book together. "Walk With Me: Two Friends on a Spiritual Journey Together," was a collection of thoughts, poems, recipes, and conversations the two best friends from college sent to one another, back and forth via letters, emails, and phone conversations, first as friends living in the same city just outside of Chicago, and then as long distance friends who didn't let the miles get in the way of their heart to heart talks and exchanges about love, marriage, motherhood, life and their faith.
Hi, I'm back. It's Monday afternoon, the afternoon slump and I've just self-medicated with a Choxie Espresso Truffle bar. I'm still waiting for the energy surge. I might have had too much though in one sitting. It's described as a rich truffled dark chocolate blended with aromatic espresso. RICH? They're not kidding. I feel like I have chocolate syrup oozing through my veins right now.

Several years ago I was walking through Nordstrom minding my own business when I suddenly veered into the lingerie department. Why? Who knows these things. It just happened. Anyway, there, I saw the most perfect bra in the world.
OK--so I just successfully published my second photo on line, this time of Elizabeth's AFTER photo of her kitchen.
I hate to brag too much because I'm sure something else will happen to confound me. I'm going to try to publish a couple more photos of her kitchen, different angles and some photos of the volunteers who did such a wonderful job.
So two or three weeks have now passed since my last blog. I have been sick, I have been preoccupied. I haven't yet glommed onto this whole all media, all the time world in which I am being forced to live. A world of 24/7 news cycles, even here, in Chanhassen.
Just got back from Carver where Jane Hall, a self-described junker, magpie-kind of gal who loves anything old, dinged up, full of character and personality, has relocated Mustard Moon, a charming shop filled with antiques, funky junk, curiosities and fun stuff, to downtown Carver.
