23 Jun 2009

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. —Wendy's FourCrown, a Minnesota-based Wendy’s franchisee of 60 stores, has installed a climate-controlled WAND 46-inch Digital Outdoor Presale board in the drive-thru lane of its Chanhassen Wendy's location.

This is the latest addition to Wendy's FourCrown’s lineup of WANDisplay Digital Menu and POP boards in sites across Minnesota.

Like other WANDisplay solutions, centrally managed content is pushed down to either the entire network or to specific displays and can be programmed to day-parts with the WAND Enterprise Management tool, which allows rapid changes to content, timing, and configurations.

The digital presale board combines animation and shows the customer some of the most popular combo options available for their breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, or dessert, options in real-time high definition video.

"This is part of an evolution toward a convergence of technologies within the QSR space" said Greg Perrill of WAND Corp.

Life Time Fitness also turns...

Back to page top

Life Time Fitness also turns a blind eye to rampant thefts from vehicles in its parking lots and lockers within its own facilities. While much of the fault lies with ignorant members who take valuables to a fitness club, Life Time Fitness could do far more to help mitigate the problem (and assist law enforcement) via education and the installation of enhanced video surveillance of parking lots and exitways from locker rooms. But Life Time is a business and they don't want the negative PR that follows public awareness. After all, no "national brand," especially one that caters to the affluent like Life Time Fitness, wants to advertise their members are targeted by enterprising thieves and car prowlers--the same thieves and car prowlers who know darn well you'd rather not work out with your purse, iPhone, or Blackberry strapped to your body. Of course, during your workout you can just store your valuables in those nice wooden lockers--they're safe there, right? Wrong! Lockers are pried open or opened via the very keys Life Time Fitness issues to dishonest employees. With all of this said, I recommend members of not only Life Time Fitness but ALL fitness clubs (e.g., Snap Fitness, et al.) bring only those items (e.g., change of clothes, driver's license) they absolutely need. While that's certainly not convenient for those who work out before or after work, taking jewelry, credit cards, and other sought-after electronics to "the club" is an invitation to victimization. Quite frankly, I'm tired of not only Life Time Fitness' insouciance towards the problem but also club members' foolishness. Because when those five credit cards you store in your wallet or purse--the wallet or purse you left in plain view on the front seat of your Range Rover while you worked out--are fraudulently used by Mr. Car Prowler, ALL consumers ultimately pay for whatever was purchased on YOUR card. That's because when push comes to shove, credit card-issuing banks stick it to the consumer via increased credit card rates, fees, and loss of tax revenue when they write off their losses.

Back to page top

People just like you can earn cash now from the internet, however there is a very steep learning curve on this type of work (believe me I know). There are lots of applications, tools etc to assist you with your campaigns. Again some of these are very good, however again some simply do not work. The best advice I can give prior to signing up for a new home based business you found advertised on the internet or an application to assist you do your research prior to handing over your hard earned cash. Think about it if the product is good people will write reviews about, exactly the same goes if the product is not good, people will want others to know what it is like. If you are unsure communicate with the owners of the website involved and ask questions. If you are unsure then simply do not go with that tool, find another one. Ensure that you read between the lines on all sites, these sites are created to attempt to entice you to press the 'Buy Now' button.
