Many times I am asked what do spirits look like and why some people see spirits while others do not.

Let’s answer the last question first.

It’s not sure as to why some people see a spirit while others do not. My personnel theory is that a lot will depend on the energy of the spirit as well as the psychic ability of the viewer.

We all have some form of psychic ability. I believe we are all born with this ability, but over time we loose this, mainly because it is not put into practice. You often hear of children seeing ghosts. For many children it may be an over active imagination, the monster in the closet thing. Fear of the unknown is strong with children. However, some may really be seeing these spirits. The worse thing a parent can do is telling the child “Don’t be silly.” They need someone they can turn to, and by telling the child this will leave them feeling alone and vulnerable.

As we age, most of us loose this 6th sense. Some do retain it, all of you have heard of “woman’s intuition” or going by a “hunch.” Other people whose 6th sense did not disappear with age are often called Mediums.

I would like to be able to pursue this theory but it’s not easy to get people to volunteer for tests on this. Perhaps some day I will be able to do so.

The first question is very interesting. I personally have seen many forms of spirits. Along with other reports from witnesses, and photo evidence I am able to answer the question.

1. Most common, orbs. Granted that orbs can be many things such as water vapor, dust, bugs, but the orbs I am talking about are orbs you see with your own eyes. Many of them will look like tiny comets with a tail. They don’t last long but they are interesting to see. I call them sprits. Sprits have been seen with the naked eye for centuries and were believed to be a kind of fairy. Then there are larger balls of light they will glow on their own and may look fuzzy. These will move around the house or outside. Sometimes ball lightning can be mistaken for this type of orb.

2. Mists. Only when there is no other visible cause, such as cigarette or candle smoke or evaporation, that may cause this should you consider this a spirit. This mist can show up in a few ways. It may be thick and drift in the air like cigarette smoke or it can be a misty form hovering.

3. Shadow people. Not all shadow people are ghosts and this is something a person should be wary of. They can appear like a independent shadow against the wall or even appear quite solid and walking independently. It is not a good thing to see a shadow person.

4. Translucent forms. They appear in their human form but you can see through them. Some will appear white others will have a little color to them.

5. Solid. Often when you see this type of spirit, you don’t know that you are seeing a spirit. They will look a solid as you are. The only way you will know this is a spirit you are seeing is when they disappeared. This form type very rare but has been seen.
