Why The Strait House?

I got a few e mails asking me why did I pick the Strait House for the Ghost Stories event.

The Strait house is a historical landmark and it’s right in our back yard and not many people know about it. When was the last time you were at the Strait house? Landmarks such as The Strait House need to have a little attention brought to them and in my small way that is what I am doing.

This event will also help to bring some revenue to the parks department. There is a 5.00 parking fee that will go to the Minnesota Parks Dept. If you have a season pass, there will be no charge. This under used park is a lovely place and has a lot to offer people from hiking, skiing, snowmobile trails, birding, and wild life of all kinds. It’s a chance to see nature up close and see how nature recycles it’s self.

I think everyone who comes will enjoy himself or herself. They will get a chance to visit Mr. Straits home, hear some true ghost stories, have some refreshments, check out some ghost hunting equipment and see how it works, hear some evps, see some of our photos and have a chance to win a door prize.

There even will be a chance to try for a raffle that will be held on Oct 31. If any one can’t make it to the Strait House this Saturday but would like to try for the raffle, send me an e mail and I will send you a form to mail. My e mail address is Kathy@michael-rennie.com

Last year, I had a chance to meet Mr. Straits great great grand children, and they were wonderful people. I hope they will show up again this year.
