EP woman reports on Tuesday’s ‘fabulous’ concert with Barbra

Earlier this week, we talked to Linda Reichert of Eden Prairie, a Barbra Streisand fan from way back.

She was ecstatic about finally getting tickets for a Streisand concert, and has a pile of memorabilia, albums, CDS, DVDs, books, and even the letter she received in response to her own fan letter she penned as a youngster to Babs. While Barbra didn't write back in person, the press agent did, still a thrill for a young Bloomington girl.

We asked Linda to report back on the concert that was Tuesday night in St. Paul's Ecel Energy Center.

“The concert was fabulous,” Linda emailed. “The set was beautiful ,the crowd was great. It was fun to see the varied outfits and people in the crowd.

“She proved to me that she is a star and diva. It seemed to be a more intimate concert then the one in 1994. She was open and funny and sang for close to two and a half hours.

“She looked gorgeous and sounded gorgeous! My daughter and friend also enjoyed it immensely. I ran into a couple of friends at the concert, friends from high school that I hadn't seen in a long time. Friends with whom I listened to Babs with many years ago!I now wish I could travel to all the other cities she will performing. I would be a true Barbra groupie if I had the money to travel and buy the tickets. It was truly a lifetime experience, one I will never forget.”
