Hi, I'm back. It's Monday afternoon, the afternoon slump and I've just self-medicated with a Choxie Espresso Truffle bar. I'm still waiting for the energy surge. I might have had too much though in one sitting. It's described as a rich truffled dark chocolate blended with aromatic espresso. RICH? They're not kidding. I feel like I have chocolate syrup oozing through my veins right now.
My one complaint is that the pieces are too big. You should be able to snap off smaller pieces. Otherwise, you'll feel like me. SLUGGISH and a little green. Of course, no one was forcing me to eat six (oversized) squares of intensely decadent chocolate in like six minutes.
It's my own fault, but really, they should have some kind of warning on the box. Something like: "Gluttony of this particular brand of chocolate may cause bloating, greenish tinge around the gills, and an overwhelmingly intense and immediate craving for a big glass of cold milk. Best results if chocolate is allowed to melt in your mouth. Proceed with caution."
In the meantime, just wanted to report in. Went to the premiere of the newest Chanhassen Dinner Theatre mainstage show, "Grease!" and I thought it was wonderful. Exuberant, energetic, funny and clever. Great dancing, singing. Loved it. I would recommend everyone go see it. The set is dynamic, so colorful and rich. And they have the cutest boss car that they drive onstage. Cool. Very cool.
