Local filmmaker will be filming his documentary on autism and diet.

It's time to hang up those spurs and come into the Lakewinds Gluten-free Roundup where you can learn about the effects of the gluten protein found in wheat, barley and rye; meet like-minded people and support groups and become acquainted with the many gluten-free products now available.

Sensitivity to gluten can vary from Celiac disease, an auto-immune disease that affects 1 in 133 people, to wheat allergy symptoms such as a runny noise or rash. Most recently gluten has been linked to autism. Local filmmaker Mario Cortolezzis will be at the Chanhassen store on March 1 filming his documentary about understanding autism and the improvements his son with autism experienced after becoming gluten-free.
