It was the early morning of Feb. 25, just over a year ago, that Sean Humphrey was found lying intoxicated and unconscious, partially frozen to the pavement of Geske Road.

A Chaska woman pleaded guilty to a money laundering scheme in U.S. District Court today. According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office, Molly Heise, 50, pleaded guilty to one count of "engaging in a monetary transaction in property derived from specified unlawful activity."

Heise was indicted last June for the alleged theft of more than $2.5 million from the clients of a real estate closing company.

County attorney protests Richard Happ's transfer

Richard Happ, who stabbed his parents to death in 1999, was recently transferred to a different, less secure, facility, according to a Carver County Attorney’s Office press release.

A man who violently assaulted a Chaska woman in 1991 was denied a prison sentence reduction earlier this month.

Michael Allen Paulson, 44, is serving out his 25-year prison sentence in Minnesota Correctional Facility-Moose Lake.
