Canterbury Park’s Extreme Race Day On Sunday featured horses racing at unique distances, camels galloping down the stretch, ostriches zig-zagging to the finish line, and a pair of $50,000 stakes.

Playing to a crowd of 14,828, the second annual event included Canterbury’s shortest race at 100 yards, the Dash in a Flash, won by Wheely Fast; and its longest race at 2 and 1/16 miles, won by Lord Kipling.
