Dinner theater lease extended
March 11, 2008 - 12:31pm — FAdams
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and The Bloomberg Companies jointly announced on Tuesday, March 11, that they have reached an agreement to extend the theaters' lease in the facility to 2013, with an option to 2018. The current lease was set to expire in 2010. City officials were pleased with the announcement. Mayor Tom Furlong responded to the news with an e-mail message. "We are happy and pleased that the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will be staying in Chanhassen. Growing together over the last forty years, the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has built its reputation as the preeminent dinner theater in the country, while the City of Chanhassen has become nationally recognized as a one of the best places to live and raise a family. Our successes have been intertwined. I am confident that, by remaining in Chanhassen, the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will continue to enjoy every success. We couldn’t be more proud now that we know that the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will continue to call the City of Chanhassen its home. I encourage all Chanhassen residents to continue to attend performances and take advantage of the high quality entertainment offered by the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, and help ensure that the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres remains a viable, growing business in our city for years to come."
What do you think? When was the last time you watched a show at the dinner theatres?
