Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia welcomed the first baby of the new year on Friday. A baby girl, Layla Marie Librado Castillo, arrived at 8:56 a.m. on Jan. 2, weighing 11 pounds, 8 ounces, and measuring 20 inches. Her parents are Ronald Castillo and Marie Librado of Chanhassen.
