Both incumbent school board members held onto their seats in the Minnetonka School District Tuesday night. Elected to a third seat on the board was Peg Keenan, a Woodland resident, mother of two students in Minnetonka High School, and member of the Tonka Cares Board.
With all precincts reporting, Erin Adams led the field of four candidates with 1,826 votes. Keenan was close behind with 1,823 votes. Board Chair Pam Langseth came in a close third with 1,816 votes. A fourth candidate in the race, Jim Patterson, came in a distant fourth with 1,634 votes. All three winners share the perspective that secure funding is the top issue facing the Minnetonka School District.
The new Minnetonka School Board members are scheduled to be sworn in January 7. The new board will consist of Pam Langseth, Lisa Wagner, Karen Walkowski, Erin Adams, Cal Litsey and Paul Luehr.
