The Minnetonka boys tennis team advanced in the Subsection 2AA North team tournament on Tuesday with an easy 6-1 victory over Prior Lake.

Things will get much tougher for the third-seeded Skippers on Thursday afternoon, as the squad travels to second seed Eden Prairie. EP shut out Shakopee 7-0 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Orono eliminated Chaska on Wednesday with a 5-2 victory. The Spartans visit top seed Wayzata on Thursday. The Trojans enjoyed a first-round bye.

The semifinal winners enter the Final Four tournament against the South semifinal winners. Top seed Mankato West plays fourth seed Mankato East and second seed Hutchinson hosts third seed
Willmar in the South semifinals Thursday.

The Final Four takes place on Tuesday, May 20 at the indoor facility at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The high North seed will take on the low South seed, and the high south seed plays the low North seed, starting at 9 a.m.

The Section 2AA individual tournament is set to begin May 23 at Matchpoint Tennis Center in Lakeville for the North subsection, and back at Gustavus for the South teams.
