The results are in, and 94 percent of respondents to the “2007 Chanhassen Citizen Survey” rated the quality of life in Chanhassen as either “excellent” or “good,” and they deem taxes, controlled growth and traffic conditions as potential problems over the next 2-3 years.

Mailed to 1,200 randomly selected households between March 14 and 28, the survey rated Chanhassen’s quality of life, community characteristics, safety, transportation, utility services, leisure services, planning and code enforcement and other factors. It resulted in a 45 percent response rate, above the national average of between 25 and 40 percent, though below the 49.9 percent response rate in 2005, the last time the city conducted the survey.
