Jane is back in Carver!

Just got back from Carver where Jane Hall, a self-described junker, magpie-kind of gal who loves anything old, dinged up, full of character and personality, has relocated Mustard Moon, a charming shop filled with antiques, funky junk, curiosities and fun stuff, to downtown Carver. I'm not the only one who's happy about that. Her shop in Chaska was nice, too, but Carver is the perfect little downtown with a ton of personality. So welcome back Jane. This morning, on the first day of the sale, Jane's fans were lined up outside her door and down the street. The sale runs through Sunday at 300 Broadway in downtown Carver...look for an upcoming story in the Chaska Herald and the Chanhassen Villager that will give you more information about Jane's return to her "spiritual" home. Also, checked out "Hazel's" a brand new coffee shop in downtown Carver. What?! You haven't heard of Hazel's. Probably because it is soooo new. But you know me. Always right on the spot when stuff happens. Linda Schutz, who owns a quilt studio next to Mustard Moon came to work today, and decided, "Gee, why not invite people in for free coffee?" Of course, tips are accepted. The Anna's ginger thins make it even more festive...So while you're visiting Mustard Moon and Jane, stick your head in and say hi to Linda. And have some coffee and cookies. Linda plans to open Hazel's whenever Jane is open for a sale. Of course, in addition to taking some photos of Jane, I took some of Joan Budd who just opened a similar fun shop around the corner called "Rutabagas." Naturally, I had to check out all the merchandise and buy some stuff, you know, checking out charm, customer service, atmosphere, things like that. Alrighty then. Hope you enjoyed my first blog. I'm loving this 21st Century technology. Unsie
