Chaska's dance team went into the Section 2-3A meet on Saturday as one of several favorites to make it to the state meet.

But after its best performance of an already successful season, the Hawks ended up being the favorite of the judges.
Chaska was crowned the section champion in the high kick/precision
dance at the conclusion of the meet, held at Wayzata High School.
Chaska's high-energy high kick routine is set to "Sha-Zungle," which features a hard-driving jungle beat.
The state meet is set for Feb.15-16 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Eden Prairie was a double state entrant at the section meet, finishing third in both the high kick and jazz/funk competitions.
