The District 112 Boundaries Task Force put its high school boundary proposal online this afternoon.

Under the proposal, Chaska kids would go to Chaska High School. Everyone else (including Carver, Victoria and township students) would go to the new Chanhassen High School.

The task force is listening to feedback at a public meeting, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, March 31, at the Chaska High School auditorium.

The task force states in its online note: “This proposal provides for equitable distribution of enrollment and also anticipates equitable distribution of know future growth areas. “The goal is to create boundaries that can remain in place indefinitely. This is also an acknowledgement of the ‘flagship’ nature of high schools and the fact that community identity and pride is often closely associated with such a school.”
