Suspect arrested in shooting incident

Sheriff Byron “Bud” Olson reports the suspect sought in a shooting in Watertown Township this morning has been arrested and is in police custody.   On May 01, 2008 at 6:21 AM, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at a residence located in the 13000 block of Hwy 25, north of Watertown in Carver County. Responding deputies learned that an adult male relative had come to the home early this morning where there was a dispute and a struggle over a .22 caliber rifle.  At some point the gun discharged and an adult female was struck in the upper arm and lower leg.  She was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The woman has since been released from the hospital and is recovering from her injuries. At about 3:30 PM today the suspect, Ryan Carl Lindeen, age 44, was arrested in the City of Winsted in McLeod County. “We are grateful for all the assistance received from the media, the public and from our law enforcement partners” said Sheriff Olson.  The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.

A woman was shot in Watertown this morning, according to a press release from Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson.

At 6:21 a.m., the Carver County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at a residence located in the 13000 block of Hwy 25, north of Watertown in Carver County.

Responding deputies learned that an adult male relative had come to the home early this morning where there was a dispute and struggle over a .22 caliber rifle, the release stated.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking Ryan Carl Lindeen, 44, address unknown, as a suspect in the incident, the press release stated. Lindeen is approximately 5’7”, 160 lbs, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was clean shaven, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

Prior to police arriving, Lindeen allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle described as a green Saturn. He left the residence southbound on Hwy 25. It is believed he took a .22 caliber rifle and a handgun with him, the release stated.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information on Lindeen’s location is asked to dial 9-1-1 or contact the Carver County Sheriff’s Office at (952) 361-1231.
