Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler and Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson announced today that their two offices just completed an analysis of the eCharging initiative and are poised to save Carver County more than $517,000 over the next five years. The time and cost savings for 2010 will likely be $86,000.

Case under investigation
On July 31 a car was clocked driving 94 m.p.h. eastbound on Highway 5 near the intersection of Highways 5 and 41, but the suspect vehicle and driver seem to have disappeared into the black of night.
The Carver County deputies assigned to the cities of Chanhassen, Victoria, and Carver and the townships of Laketown, San Francisco and Dahlgren responded to the following calls from July 26 to Aug 1.
July 26
At 5:50 p.m., responded to 300 block, Lake Drive East, Chanhassen, for report of fradulent use of prescription. An adult female was arrested for prescription forgery.
July 27
At 7:03 p.m., responded to intersection of Galpin Boulevard and Topaz Drive, Chanhassen, for report of a dog that bit an adult female.
On July 27 and again on July 31 there were two very suspicious incidents reported to the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
He sold cocaine in Chaska, and now he's in jail. Marco Antonio Sosa-Ramierez, 32, of Eagan, was sent to prison for 74 months after a jury found him guilty of possessing and selling cocaine in Chaska on Jan. 5, 2010.

At 2:45 a.m., responded to intersection of County Road 11 and Deer Run Drive, Victoria, for report of juveniles putting saran wrap across the road.
At 12:13 p.m., responded to 9400 block, Airport Road, Laketown Township, for report of a residential burglary.
