Brindisi, Kangas among new ownership group

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is now under new ownership, though some of the owners have familiar faces.
The Chanhassen Dinner Theatres was sold this morning. The new managing partners of the 41 year-old theatre include: Michael Brindisi, Chanhassen Resident Artistic Director; Tamara Kangas Erickson, Professional Choreographer; and Steven L. Peters, Owner and President of VenuWorks.

World famous as a screenwriter, song writer, and author, Dean Pitchford lives in Los Angeles but said he like to get his “winter fix” every year. That came two weeks ago when the Oscar-award winner, on his way to New York City, stopped in Minneapolis to visit family in Eden Prairie and watch a production of “Footloose” in Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.
The author of the book/movie "Footloose," Dean Pitchford, was traveling cross-country from Los Angeles to New York earlier this week and stopped in Minneapolis to come see the production of "Footloose" at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

This year’s Super Bowl offered a Hail Mary for the record books but it wasn’t just on the football field. Eden Prairie native Ben Krueger, a Minnetonka High School graduate, watched from the stands as his Super Bowl dreams came true. He and co-producer Cole Koehler saw their “Snack Attack Samurai” ad air in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl. According to The Nielsen Company, that makes it the most watched television commercial of all time, seen by an estimated 116.2 million viewers.
The “Snack Attack Samurai” commercial, which was aired during this year’s Super Bowl, was co-produced by Minnetonka High School graduate Ben Krueger. It was the most-watched ad in television history. Story here.

A group of local investors announced on Friday (Jan. 8) they have signed a letter of intent to purchase the entertainment complex by the end of February.
