With windy, wet weather in the forecast for Monday, it might not be an ideal setting for soccer.

So let’s go indoors.

The Southwest Stars adapted soccer team is riding a four-game win streak going into Monday’s home game against St. Paul Humboldt.

Game time is 4:30 p.m. in the Chaska High School new gym.

At Friday’s Homecoming game, the Minnetonka student section was a sea of orange; the plan was to go Eagle hunting.

Eden Prairie’s cheerleaders countered with a banner that said it was illegal to shoot an Eagle. Something had to give.

Eden Prairie took the opening drive, gobbled up seven minutes of clock, and scored the game’s first touchdown on a Sam Gotham keeper.

Later in the first quarter, Minnetonka answered with an Ismail Karon touchdown.

Chaska’s girls tennis team will have to pull off a series of upsets to make it to the state tournament.

Chaska's football team traveled to Eagan on Friday looking for its second victory of the season.

But a fired-up Eagan team celebrated its Homecoming by building a big lead and keeping it for a 25-8 victory.

Wildcat kicker Greg Seely booted a 28-yard field goal in the first quarter, and Jameson Parsons scored on a 5-yard rush. Osborn's two-point run made it 11-0.

Parsons hit paydirt twice more before halftime with scoring passes of 13 and 15 yards as the Wildcats went up 25-0.

Chaska had no problem outpointing Apple Valley in a Lake Conference girls swim dual on Thursday.

The Hawks rocked the Valley Middle School pool with a 120-66 victory. See full Chaska varsity results below.

A team might go through a whole season without facing a top-five opponent.

Chaska's volleyball team has faced two in its past two games.

Unfortunately for the Hawks, both matches turned out to be setbacks.

Chaska fell in a five-game marathon to Eastview on Thursday. The Hawks entered the Lake Conference clash as the No. 2 team in Class 3A, while the Lightning was rated fourth.

Friday’s football game between Minnetonka and Edina is big.

 Maybe not quite as big next Friday’s Skipper homecoming game against Eden Prairie, but big is big.

“It’s huge,” said Minnetonka head coach Dave Nelson. “If we beat Edina and then go out and beat Eden Prairie we can get the No. 1 seed in the section.”

The Holy Family Catholic football team has never lost to Montgomery-Lonsdale.

The Fire was not going to let the streak end.

Holy Family made it seven wins in a row over the Red Birds, hanging on for a 25-20 victory.

The offense and defense both showed up to play as the Fire completely dominated the first half for a 19-0 lead.

Senior running back Tony Bauer, of Chaska, scored for the second time this season, on a 3-yard run.
