The perennial MiracleKids Triathlon is scheduled for this Saturday in Lake Ann Park from about 8 to 11:30 a.m. for kids ages 11 to 17. It is the largest fundraiser for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation, which donates money to families of kids with cancer.

Chanhassen Fire Chief Roger Smallbeck talked to the Chanhassen City Council on May 24 about a May 15 fire that occurred in Chanhassen.

Carver County Sheriff's Lt. Jim Olson told the city council on Monday night, "We live in a safe community." But he encouraged councilors and the viewing public to "look at it, lock it, check it, close it" to protect against "crimes of opportunity" this summer.

The Minnesota Twins vs. the Kansas City Royals was the Twins' second series in their new ballpark, Target Field. The Twins wound up losing the game on April 18, but they won the series. Here is a video of some sights and sounds at the game.
