Gasoline prices dip for the week; 57 cents higher than year ago
Average retail gasoline prices in Twin Cities have fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.14/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.08/g, according to gasoline price website TwinCitiesGasPrices.com. New Germany man sentenced in firearm case
Carver County Attorney Mark Metz announced Jan. 31 that Matthew Garrett Shupe-Botner, 20, of New Germany, was sentenced to 60 months in prison by Judge Philip T. Kanning on Jan.19 for the crime of felon in possession of a firearm. Shupe-Botner previously pleaded guilty to this charge on Nov. 17, 2010.
