The Hawks held off the Storm 18-13 before an overflow crowd at Chaska High School.
The Storm jumped on top with a nifty 20-yard touchdown run by Austin Soine. The extra-point try sailed left, keeping the score 6-0.
Senior receiver Brandon Seiffert tied it up for Chaska , taking a Max Watts pass down the sidelines and diving into the corner of the end zone for a 40-yard score.

After a halftime session that featured 700 football players in the Chaska - Chanhassen youth program, the varsity teams tried to decide a winner.
The Hawks took advantage of a big opportunity in a big way, as Watts hit a wide-open Evan Koehler for a 69-yard TD. Chanhassen 's Maverick Edmunds hustled to stop Koehler, making a shoestring tackle just as Koehler scored.
A failed PAT attempt made it 12-6.
Chaska junior Sean Brewers intercepted a Storm pass on the first play of a drive to set the Hawks up at the Storm 21.
The Hawks converted a third-down play on a Storm motion flag and Koehler plunged in from 2 yards out for his second score of the night. The Storm tackled Koehler on a 2-point run try to keep the score 18-6.
Chanhassen broke out its play of the season so far. Storm quarterback Dillon LaHaye hit tight end Carson Heinz with a 15-yard pass. Heinz immediately handed the ball to a sprinting Mike Cerjance, who took it down the sidelines the rest of the way for a 63-yard score.
The Storm's extra point was good for the 18-13 score.
Chaska senior Brody Bornmann snuffed a Storm drive with an interception, and Brewers got his second of the game with 8 minutes to go.
The Hawks got the ball with 2:09 to go and ran out the clock with runs by Bornmann.
Chaska , winners of two in a row and 2-4 overall, play at Farmington on Oct. 15, and host Holy Angels to finish the regular season on Oct. 20.
Chanhassen is 1-5 on the year with home games remaining against New Prague on Oct. 15 and Red Wing on Oct. 20.
